50 shades of Blue

Before I moved to the UK, I had heard that people here always talk about the weather. However, I never quite understood how an entire nation could be fascinated/ obsessed with the weather, enough for them to talk about it everyday, sometimes even with complete strangers. I understood this strange phenomenon only after I moved here.

The weather in the UK is so mercurial that it changes every 10 minutes. People cant help but talk about it because it is like news, it keeps changing! I also learnt that it is also very deceiving sometimes. I wore this blue skirt and blazer on Sunday morning as it looked bright and sunny when I looked out of the window before leaving home. It was only when I left the house I realised how cold it really was.

I feel like the skirt is the highlight of the outfit. It is from H&M and has an odd sort of abstract, geometric design on it. However, my favourite part of this skirt is the million shades of blue in it. The blue and white combination by default makes the skirt summery.

I got this blazer from Zara last year. It has the most comfortable fit and best of all has perfect length of sleeves. I am quite fussy about the sleeve lengths and usually dislike jackets the cover my wrists. This blazer however is just the right length. I was glad I wore it as it was really cold and I wouldn't have lasted 10 minutes without it.

In addition to being a very cold day, Sunday was also very windy; as a result, my hair were out of control. The proof is in the picture above. There is no excuse for it, but it happened, my hair wouldn't stay in a ponytail and there was nothing I could do about it!

I wore blue and white plimsolls with the outfit as I was in a mood for being very matchy-matchy. They also made the outfit very casual. Sometimes shoes can entirely change an outfit. I have worn this outfit to work with nude patent shoes and it looks entirely different.

Although this outfit is quite summery I have a feeling I'll be wearing it a lot in the winter too. I think its my way of rebelling against the weather. There, I mentioned weather again if any of you were wondering if living in England turned me into a weather obsessed person as well. Take a wild guess!
